The overarching goal of this course is to continue developing your proficiency in Spanish but with an emphasis in conversational/interpersonal skills. As your teacher, I will guide you in your personalized learning, provide you with comprehensible input in Spanish, and design lessons that maximize your interaction with Spanish. Students will build on prior knowledge of grammar structures(using present, past and future verb tenses) and vocabulary, as well as learning new material. Using more Spanish in discussions will help reinforce speaking skills. Reading short articles, stories and novels will address reading skills. Students work to communicate at the intermediate low proficiency level by speaking and writing with more detail and complexity about familiar topics. Short comprehensible stories, a reader’s novel and games/activities will be used to expose students to the target language.
